During the inspection, your inspector will record Make, Model and Serial Numbers for the appliances in your new home. This can include items such as:

• Furnaces,
• Air Conditioners,
• Refrigerators,
• Dishwashers,
• Kitchen Ranges,
• Microwave Ovens,
• and more.

After the inspection, the numbers will be entered into a national database, and report will be returned to you. In the event of a potential recall, your report will include:

1. The nature of the recall,
2. Where the product was sold,
3. How to remedy the defect, and
4. How to get the item repaired / replaced in most cases - absolutely FREE!

This information will also be maintained automatically for as long as you desire. If a future recall is issued for one of your appliances, you'll also receive a notification at that time.

You will also have the ability to enter the data for any new appliances you may purchase for your home, and those items will also be tracked automatically.

Please note, however, the recall check report is not a listing of defects and is therefore not information that should be utilized in the inspection response. All recalls reported are potential, and need to be confirmed with the manufacturer. If your appliance is part of a recall, the manufacturer should be contacted to schedule a free, in-home repair. Your report will explain this process in very clear detail.
